Logo Freunde der Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen

As the Freunde der Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen e.V., we have been accompanying the Kunstsammlung since 1969. Our support is primarily aimed at fulfilling the wishes of the museum's management with regard to the acquisition of works of art. This has enabled us to purchase a number of high-caliber works in recent decades. In addition, the Friends support the exhibition program of the Kunstsammlung and raise special donations for social projects run by their education department. Since 2023, the Friends have been awarding the K21 Global Art Award in cooperation with the Kunstsammlung and thanks to generous financial support from the Reydan + Roger Weiss Foundation, a purchase prize of € 100,000, which is one of the highest endowed art purchase prizes internationally.

In order to be able to better meet the financial requirements, which have become significantly greater in the meantime, we warmly welcome all individuals and companies who are happy to support this internationally highly respected museum of modern and contemporary art. A membership of the Freunde der Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen e.V. has a lot to offer! Meet like-minded people at over 40 exclusive events a year as well as excursions and trips to which we invite our friends. Our young members also enjoy an additional program as part of Klub21. There are many good reasons to become a member of the Friends and support the “State Gallery” of North Rhine-Westphalia with its public mission.
